General code breaker instructions: If the puzzle code is 3-82, 3 indicates placement, being the 3rd letter in the puzzle. The letter is found on the code breaker at the intersection of the 8th Column and the 2nd Row, so for this example, the 3rd letter in the puzzle would be the letter "S".
